Much like you're likely about to do, more Americans are watching online video, a new survey from the Pew Internet & American Life Project has found.

Kristen Purcell, associate director for research, stopped by The Rundown to discuss the key findings, including that 69 percent of Internet users watch or download video online and 14 percent have posted videos.

About 52 percent of all U.S. adults have used the Internet to watch or download video, while Internet users who are between 18 and 29 years old continue to be the heaviest consumers of online video. Comedy, educational and political videos have all seen rising viewership, according to the study.
