'"Still trying to figure out exactly what Web 2.0 means? You're in good company.
For a report published last week by the Pew Internet Project titled ``Riding the Waves of Web 2.0: More Than a Buzzword But Not Easily Defined,'' researchers spent two years trying to come up with an unassailable definition of Web 2.0.
They couldn't do it.
Said the report's co-author Mary Madden, a senior research specialist at the Washington, D.C.-based organization that conducts public opinion polling and social science research, ``I think people continue to refine what Web 2.0 means. It's also challenging to describe a new era while we're living through it.''
Many news sites move articles into data bases after a period of time and then offer them for sale, in the process changing the URLs that link to them. Or they require registration. Thus, we provide a link to the front page of the news website and the information necessary to find the story on that site, rather than a direct link to the article.
